Meet the Girl Behind the Lens

Hey there!  Thanks for stopping by! I am Jenn... a Pittsburgh native who has been living in Charlotte for over 20 years, married to an amazing southern man with whom I have 2 sweet and sassy daughters. From the time I was old enough to work a camera, I have always loved taking pictures...once I became a mom, my children have been the majority of my subjects, from birthdays to sporting events and more. By degree, I am a physical therapist and have always enjoyed developing relationships with my patients, but I decided it was finally time to take the leap into my passion and launch Jenn Z Photography. I specialize in portrait and lifestyle photography for seniors, families, milestones, and small events. I have always loved working with children/teens from helping them recover from an injury and return to sport to photographing their important moments to be remembered forever. I believe in the natural lighting approach to photography, capturing candids amid some prompts and using minimal editing. My photographs showcase the genuine relationships of my clients along with their individual personalities. You'll often find me smiling behind the camera as I work with my clients as I truly love getting to know them; and my most important rule is that my clients have fun! And don't think you have to be in Charlotte to work with me, I am willing to travel (especially if it's to the beach!) to document your special moments.
